Coordination Meeting for the EPSS Preparation 2024

BPS-Statistics Lampung Province took a proactive step in intensifying the Evaluation of the Implementation of Sectoral Statistics (EPSS), by initiating a meeting of the Lampung Province One Data Forum Team. The meeting, which was held in the Virtual Conference (Vicon) room on the 3rd floor of BPS-Statistics Lampung Province on Friday (26/01/24), aimed to formulate a measurable action plan that can be effectively implemented for the implementation of EPSS in 2024. Also present at this meeting were a team from the KOMINFOTIK Office as the data administrator, and a team from UPTD Pusdatin Bangda BAPPEDA Lampung Province as representatives of the Lampung Province One Data Forum Secretariat. Sudiyanto as the Head of Sectoral Statistics Team in BPS-Statistics Lampung Provincd, in his presentation on the achievement of EPSS in 2023, said "To face EPSS in 2024 there is still a need for hard work, collaboration, and synergy from various parties in boosting the assessment of the implementation of Sectoral Statistics in Lampung Province.". Sudiyanto also added, that changes to the Decree (SK) for Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) are needed to ensure readiness, and smooth documentation of selected OPD activities in 2023. He also suggested that the next OPD preparation be scheduled for regeneration, especially if there is a change of sample. This needs to be determined immediately, considering that the assessment will begin in April 2024. "BPS-Statistics should focus on coaching OPD sample candidates. If the sample candidates remain the same, coaching can involve other OPDs in addition to supporting the improvement of statistical quality." Sudiyanto explained. The implementation of the coordination meeting at the beginning of this year is an important part of EPSS, especially to identify the obstacles faced in the previous year, and formulate together the best solution for organizing sectoral statistics in Lampung Province. And in the future, the available statistical data will be more complete, accurate and up-to-date, as a form of realizing a reliable, effective and efficient National Statistics System. So that the utilization of statistical data can be an important tool in policy formulation, and evaluation of higher quality regional development.
